WHO WE ARE

Hybrid House gym where the weights are metal, the vibe is real, and everybody knows your name.


Back in the day, we trained like we were prepping for battle—great for the elite, borderline brutal for most. Over time, we realized that “more is better” only works until it doesn’t. So we grew up.


Now, we train smarter—not softer. The goal? The perfect prescription—enough intensity to grow, but not so much it wrecks you.


How We Train

We run 12-week strength & conditioning blocks, each one built with purpose. Every class is programmed in advance, coached with intention, and capped small so it feels more like personal training in a group setting.


Week 13 is GRIT WEEK—where we test everything you’ve built. Think progress checks, challenges, and a little friendly fire.


Weekly rhythm looks like this:

  • Mon/Wed– Strength
  • Tues/Thurs – Conditioning
  • Fri/Sat/Sun – Hybrid Workouts (aka the fun stuff where it all comes together)


All levels are welcome. Scaling’s always available. We meet you where you’re at—and push you from there.

"Hybrid House is the absolute best. I had NEVER been to a gym before, and was suggested this one from a friend, and have been going for almost 6 months now...I feel like I found a home. Having never been to a gym before, and very intimidated by them and gym culture in general, walking into a smaller and more intimate space was SO helpful for me. The best part...the coaches REALLY give you their attention. I'm a curious person and want to know the why behind the what, and every single one of the them answers my questions thoughtfully and thoroughly. I've learned so much that I can now take with me to future workouts and beyond. I also really enjoy the size of the gym: it's basically got two rooms. For someone who often has option paralysis, and is still learning a lot, it's really helpful to see a few machines, barbells, kettlebells, dumbbells, a few other things...it just helps me focus and feel like whatever workout is ahead is more attainable. It feels more intimate, and really lends to that community experience. Definitely my preference, and I'll now be spoiled forever for the size of a gym!

Being a queer person working through body and gender issues, it's a really big deal to be able to go somewhere you're going to be working hard and facing your weaknesses and then know that you're safe. I am exploring name change right now, and told Timmie (the owner of the gym, a queer woman who I will rave about in just a moment) that I wanted to go by a different name than she had previously known me by (for over a month! I had sampled some classes at their other location). Next week I showed up, she and the other coaches were using my chosen name. No questions, no weird, no mistakes. That was a MASSIVE deal to me, as it was the first place I was really trying it out. That made me feel incredibly safe and respected, and I've felt so supported in my fitness but also gender journey here. The reason being...this place is all about community! It's really just about a group of people hanging out and lifting kettlebells and shit. It's fantastic, I go every week to improve my fitness and reach my body goals, but also because I care about seeing these people every week. That's a good feeling.

Coach Timmie is a rockstar. A true champion of others, she pushes people INTO their potential. I've never felt pushed beyond my limit here in a way that felt violating or overwhelming...it has instead felt motivating, and rewarding when I see the payoff of the push! Timmie is down-to-earth, kind, and supportive. I'm so happy to be supporting a gym that supports the community so well!

ALL the coaches are fantastic, but special other shout-out to Coach Tim & Coach Blake! I work with them the most throughout the week, and they've really helped me improve and grow stronger. They're both so skilled at making others feel comfortable and capable, and again...that's a huge deal in this kind of environment! I appreciate the time y'all have invested in me. I look forward to your classes each week.

I don't even know how one goes about gym-shopping, but you really don't have to search once you've come across Hybrid House. I joined Hybrid on day 1 when Timmie opened "The Yard" 5.5 yrs ago. I'm still here. Hybrid has grown to a second location at Retro Row, "The Church," and I've been along for the ride.
